Who is Sherrie?

Sherrie is a cosmetologist, creative thinker, and founder devoted to helping women care for themselves with intention— from the crown of their heads to the way they move through their lives.

With over a decade of experience behind the chair, Sherrie is the founder of Real Hair Wellness Co., a salon centered on healthy hair, education, and personalized care for textured hair. Her work blends technical expertise with a wellness-focused philosophy, empowering women to understand their hair, build sustainable routines, and cultivate confidence in their natural beauty.

But Sherrie’s work extends far beyond the salon.

Through her platform Between Hair Appointments, Sherrie explores the deeper conversations that often happen in the moments of a salon visit— identity, womanhood, healing, creativity, and the ways women rebuild themselves over time. Her writing, audio conversations, and community spaces invite women to pause, reflect, and live more intentionally.

Through Between Hair Appointments, Sherrie also offers consulting for hairstylists, helping beauty professionals build sustainable careers, refine their client experience, and develop healthier relationships with their work behind the chair. These strategy sessions draw from Sherrie’s years of industry experience and her philosophy that beauty professionals deserve businesses that support both their creativity and their wellbeing.
